We have a player who transferred in 14 million plus points to our location. After several months of playing there, he disappeared, and is believed to have transferred out. Recently, his points disappeared from the NTN web site for BWW Goshen (location 14153). However, he still appears on the board in the bar

We have some e-mails in to NTN about this, with no response so far. I'm curious if anyone is familiar enough with how their system works to explain why this happens. It was suggested in another forum their question database pulls from one place irregardless of the how you're playing (bar/buzztime/BWW website), but apparently the player data isn't stored centrally?

It is stored centrally, but only for points earned from playing at the sites.

To summarize the problem: points earned at remote locations are not showing up in the total at the home location.

I've called NTN on this a few times (although not in a couple of weeks) and spoken with LUCE in the Players Plus group. It took a couple of weekly calls for them to realize they had (and still have) a serious problem on their hands.

The point totals on the NTN website are correct so use that as the point of reference.

I strongly recommend placing calls to NTN about this ... the more calls that make it out there, the more attention it will likely receive.

See, I don't see that problem, as the points earned @ Coachs for BYT ME are showing up at Stir Crazy in Fort Mill, where that account is registered.

Are you using the same handle at those remote sites?

Yes I am ... and it's a problem for all of our location's players who play at remote sites.

My points are not even close.I thought it would be a matter of time before the problem was corrected. This has happenned before but not to the degree and it has never taken this long for the points to show up at the home bar.I will call Luce as you recommend.Thank-you for bringing this up.

About the time I wrote this first post, a fellow player e-mailed them and got a generic response two weeks later saying they're working on it. We just noticed this week that the name has disappeared. It's nice to know they are actually working on these things, but a little disturbing it took two months.

Something similar happened to my points seven or eight years ago when I transferred them from one location to another. My points appeared at the new location, but never disappeared from the old one. The points at the old location remained on the board there for a couple of years, until they dropped NTN.

One time, just for kicks, I tried to play under the seven-digit PIN from the old location to see if new points would still accumulate there, but they didn't - and when I made national rankings under that PIN, I came up as P+ NEW. So for whatever reason, my points still showed up on the local P+ Points board, even though the system there no longer had an active account for me.

FWIW (which may not be much).

I have an account that I had nearly the same problem with. I had transferred an account out of the particular site to another one, but the points also remained on their board. They do not appear on the website, but I can log in at the original bar and and accrue p+. I havn't played it recently to see if what it comes up for ranking. I'll check sometime soon and let you know.
